01.About the Researcher
From the bench, with care for what the cell tells us.
Samprity is a research-focused Medical Laboratory Scientist at the Avigan Lab, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, with four-plus years of hands-on experience in clinical and translational research. Her work centers on cancer immunotherapy and cell-based therapies — manufacturing CAR-T cells on the Miltenyi CliniMACS Prodigy, supporting fusion-vaccine production, and shepherding human-derived cell products through receipt, processing, cryopreservation, and assay.
She holds a Bachelor's in Biology from the University of Massachusetts Boston and is completing a Master of Science in Clinical Research at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS), expected September 2026. Earlier rotations took her through Dana-Farber / Harvard Cancer Center, Manus Bio, and the IMSD Program at UMass Boston — formative exposures to oncology drug screening, in vivo mouse studies, fermentation pipelines, and microbial-community sequencing.
She is interested in the practical questions of translational science: how a sample becomes a result, how a result earns the trust of a clinician, and how that chain — under cGMP, with QA/QC at every checkpoint — improves the care of patients with cancer.
